London’s mayor wishes Canadians ‘good luck’

Canada Olympic House is quickly becoming a popular destination at London 2012, and not only for athletes and their friends and family.

After actress Kim Cattrall paid the House a surprise visit on Day 2 of the Games, the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson popped by on Day 4 to wish the Canadian Team good luck.

This place is fantastic,” he said. “Lots of activity and energy. Good luck, Canada!”

Anthony Wright, a field hockey player and third generation Olympian who represented Canada in Beijing in 2008, had the pleasure of meeting Mayor Johnson.

We chatted about field hockey for a bit. You could tell Mr. Johnson was incredibly enthusiastic about the Olympics and sincerely pleased to meet the Canadian athletes. He was impressed with the atmosphere at Canada Olympic House and wished everyone the best of luck,” said Anthony.
