Chan & Co. Get Loose in Tokyo

Chan & Co. Get Loose in Tokyo

Who said athletes can’t have fun? Patrick Chan and his eight-member crew in Tokyo, certainly didn’t get that memo.

Three-time world champion Chan (Toronto, ON) currently sits in first place in the men’s competition at the 2013 ISU World Team Trophy. And as team captain, he is surely leading by example with some Maple Leaf pride and a hilarious “kiss-and-cry” routine featuring a moose and teammates Kaitlyn Weaver (Waterloo, ON), Andrew Poje (Waterloo, ON), Meagan Duhamel (Lively, ON), Eric Radford (Balmertown, ON) and Kevin Reynolds (Coquitlam, BC).

Check out Chan’s routine and what ensues at the 5:45 mark of this video!

History will be made in 2016 when Rio de Janeiro, Brazil hosts the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, marking the first time that a South American country will welcome the world to an Olympic Games. It is also just the third time that the Games will be held in the southern hemisphere, following Melbourne 1956 and Sydney 2000.
