August 19, 2008:Priscilla Lopes-Schliep wins bronze in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing. It is Canada’s first Olympic medal by a female hurdler since Betty Taylor’s bronze in the 80m event at Berlin 1936.
