Canada’s Only Tennis Medal

September 27, 2000: Canada wins its first and so far only Olympic tennis medal when the duo of Daniel Nestor and Sébastien Lareau win the men’s doubles gold at the Games of the XXVII Olympiad in Sydney. The Canadians defeated Aussie favourites Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde in the final.
