Thousands of Olympic fans poured into downtown Banff to wish the Canadian Olympic Team success and party to the music of The Sheepdogs and Arkells today.
About 30 Sochi Olympians were on hand, and by all accounts it was a fun day.
“Having the opportunity to meet so many Canadian fans and various other athletes from other disciplines makes this all very real for me,” said Jennifer Jones, Skip of Canada’s Women’s Olympic Curling Team. “You hear so many stories from other athletes about how powerful it feels to be able to represent Canada internationally, and today is a reminder for us athletes that when we head over to Sochi, we’ll have a nation of supporters cheering us on.”
