Sarah Pavan and Heather Bansley finished their Rio 2016 group stage with a perfect campaign.

The Canadian team closed the preliminary stage with a third straight win, defeating Germany’s Karla Borger and Britta Buthe 2-0 (21-19, 21-15) on Thursday.

With the result, Pavan/Bansley consolidated the top spot of Pool E, with six points and not a single lost set in the first three matches of the Rio 2016 tournament.

The duo will return to Copacabana beach on Saturday at 11 p.m. (ET) to face their fellow Canadians Jamie Broder and Kristina Valjas for a spot in the quarterfinals of the competition.
