Thompson’s gold medal haul began at the World Cup opener in Val Thorens. Although the Canadian missed the circuit’s second final after being eliminated by her teammate Georgia Simmerling, Thompson made her way back atop the podium in Arosa, before her latest victory in Montafon. With her third win in the books, the Olympic champion extended her lead in overall  World Cup rankings.

Next up, athletes will head to Italy for another World Cup double header, starting on December 21.
