‘All of Canada is behind you’

The sunny streets of West London were crowded with onlookers as Canadian Olympic medallist Charmaine Crooks carried the torch through the Borough of Ealing yesterday.
The five-time Olympian said she was overjoyed to be representing Canada as a London 2012 torchbearer and offered her advice to Canadian athletes competing at this year’s Games:
‘You’ve done the work, you’re here, now it’s time to go out and perform knowing that all of Canada is behind you. Give your everything, your heart and your soul, and you won’t go wrong.’
