DRUMMONDVILLE, QC – Four-time Olympian and celebrated gold medallist Jean-Luc Brassard was named Assistant Chef de Mission for the Canadian Olympic Team in Sochi 2014 Friday. Canadian Olympic Committee President Marcel Aubut made the announcement during a luncheon with more the 600 attendees celebrating Drummondville’s newly-minted status as host of the 2015 Québec Winter Games. Brassard joins the Team’s Chef de Mission Steve Podborski to help lead Canada into contention for top spot in total medals in Russia less than a year from now.
