CALGARY – Today, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) in partnership with Hockey Canada announced that 50% of proceeds from all Team Canada Olympic Hockey merchandise will be delivered to winter National Sport Federations in Canada.

“We are so excited with today’s announcement because this is an unprecedented initiative that will contribute to Canada’s overall success on the international stage,” said Marcel Aubut, President, Canadian Olympic Committee. “This is a tremendous demonstration of something that we as sports leaders speak to with our athletes and coaches each and every day – the power of working together as one community for the benefit of many.”

Official Team Canada Olympic hockey merchandise can be purchased in person or online at HBC, Sport Chek and Canadian Tire stores across Canada.

“This partnership defines leadership and demonstrates how strong we can be as a sport community in Canada when we come together as one,” added Bob Nicholson, President and CEO, Hockey Canada. “We are so proud to be in the position to partner with the COC on such an important initiative. Today’s news will go a long way in helping all of Canada’s winter Olympians continue to dream of podium success.”
