  • Set a world record of 4:02.72 in the short course 400-metre IM at the 2003-04 Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) Championships in Victoria (breaking the previous mark of 4:04.24 set by Matthew Dunn of Australia in 1998) – the first world record by a Canadian swimmer since Chris Renaud broke the 50-metre backstroke short course mark at the 1997 Canadian university championships
  • The most decorated swimmer in Canadian university history and Canada’s flag-bearer at the 2007 Universiade in Bangkok
