Biography

Darryl Conrad competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as a late replacement, being added to the team on July 14, just two weeks before his event was to be contested. He then had to quickly pull the money together to fund the trip. He finished eighth, the top lifter to come from the B group in the 85kg category. Conrad began competing in 2008. The paramedic won his first national title in 2015 in the 77kg category, after winning silver in 2012 and bronze in 2014.
