Biography:

Dusty Korek got his first taste of Olympic competition at the 2012 Youth Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck where he finished eighth in the individual event and captured bronze in the mixed team event with Taylor Henrich and Nathaniel Mah. It was Canada’s only ski jumping medal of the Games. One month later, he finished 57th in the individual normal hill at the World Junior Championships.

Korek has made just two individual World Cup starts, instead competing primarily in Continental Cup events. He recorded a career-best fourth place finish on that circuit on the large hill in Sapporo, Japan in January 2014.
