Jillian Drouin

Biography

Jillian Drouin won the heptathlon at the 2014 Canadian Combined Events Championships with a personal best score of 5972 points. It was an incredible return to the discipline following a five year hiatus. Drouin finished second in the heptathlon at the 2015 Canadian Championships. During her break from heptathlon, Drouin had focused on high jump, winning national titles in 2009 and 2011. She also competed at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Drouin’s dream of competing at the Olympic Games was truly sparked in grade 11 when she won the high jump at the OFSAA (Ontario high school) Championships. Until then, she didn’t know that track and field existed outside of the high school system, but suddenly she was told she had qualified for the IAAF World Youth Championships. She is inspired and motivated by her brother Derek, watching him remain humble and silently confident while winning Olympic and world medals.
