Joseph Veloce competed at his first Olympic Games in the keirin track cycling event and placed 13th.

In 2012, Veloce competed at the World Championships in Melbourne, Australia and finished just outside of the top-10 in the team sprint event.

He holds several Canadian Championship titles including two gold medals in the keirin (2008, 2001), three gold medals in the team sprint (2008, 2010-2011) and a gold medal in the individual sprint (2008). His best World Cup result came in 2009 when he finished just off of the podium in the team sprint event by finishing fourth at the event in Cali, Colombia.

Veloce is currently enrolled in a PhD program in electrical engineering at University of Southern California.
