Krista Phillips

Biography

Krista Phillips made her first appearance at an Olympic Games in 2012 and helped Canada reach the quarter-finals for the first time in the Basketball program’s history, finishing eighth.

A 6’6” centre, Phillips has been a member of the national team for four years and played varsity at the University of Michigan (2006-10) where she ranks ninth all-time with 707 rebounds

Since finishing her NCAA career, Phillips has played professionally in Poland, Italy and Spain. She has signed on to play in Australia with the Dandenong Rangers of that country’s Women’s National Basketball League.

London 2012 marked Canada’s first Olympic appearance since the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, when it finished in tenth place.
