Meaghan Benfeito returned to the Olympic Games for the second time in her career in 2012 and competed in the women’s 10m synchro event with partner Roseline Filion to capture the bronze medal. She also competed in the women’s 10m individual event and finished in 11th place.

Benfeito took silver in the 10m synchro event at the 2012 FINA World Cup. In 2011, she competed at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara and won a silver with Filion in 10m synchro and an individual bronze on the 10m platform. At the FINA World Cup in 2010 the duo of Benfeito and Filion won bronze in the 10m synchro event.

In 2009, Benfeito just missed out on a podium finish at the FINA World Championships with a fourth in the 10m platform and the 10m synchro events. She made her Olympic Games debut in 2008 in Beijing and finished seventh in 10m synchro with partner Filion. In 2007, Benfeito won bronze in the 3m synchro event with partner Kelly MacDonald and won a bronze with Filion at the 2006 World Cup in 10m synchro.

In her hometown of Montreal in 2005, Benfeito earned a bronze medal at the World Championships in the 10m synchro with Filion.
