Teresa Gabriele

Biography

Teresa Gabriele, a member of the Canadian women’s basketball team since 1998, made her second appearance at an Olympic Games in 2012 and helped Canada reach the quarter-finals for the first time in the basketball program’s history, finishing eighth.

Gabriele, a 5’5 point guard, is the only member of the 2012 squad who played for Canada at the 2000 Olympic Games. That team finished tenth in Sydney.

Gabriele had retired from competitive basketball, but made a return to the sport to  compete in her second Olympic Games.

Over the course of her career, Gabriele played professionally in Austria and Spain.
