Canadian figure skaters Jamie Sale and David Pelletier faced an extremely difficult situation during the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games when they were denied a gold medal. However, instead of complaining and being unsportsmanlike, the pair accepted their silver medals graciously and respected their competiton. In the end, their sportsmanship payed off, as they were given the gold medals they knew they had earned.
