Jennifer Gilbert has been part of the national team program for a decade, starting with the Women’s U-16 National Team in 2009.
Janet Leung’s first appearance for Team Canada was in 2013 when she competed as part of the Junior Women’s National Team at the 2013 WBSC Junior Women’s World Championships.
Holly Speers made her debut with the women’s national team in 2018, appearing in the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City, the Canada Cup in Surrey and as part of the bronze medal-winning squad at the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship in Chiba, Japan.
Emma Entzminger joined the national program as part of the Junior Women’s National Team, competing at the 2013 WBSC Junior Women’s Softball World Championship in Brampton and at the same event in 2015 in Oklahoma City.
The summer of 2019 marks the first opportunity for Morgan Rackel to don the maple leaf and compete as part of the women’s national team. Rackel recently completed her senior year at Austin Peay State University, where she earned her degree in chemistry.
Victoria Hayward is the youngest person ever named to the Senior National Team, having joined in 2009 at age 16. Hayward played with the senior team at the 2009 World Cup of Softball before she made her junior debut at the 2010 WBSC Junior World Championship and Canada Cup, winning silver in both.
