Biography

• Four-time NCAA All-American competing for the University of Minnesota, winning three accolades on pommel horse and one on parallel bars
• Has won five Canadian titles on individual apparatus: 2018 parallel bars, 2016 pommel horse, 2014 (junior) pommel horse, 2013 (junior) pommel horse and vault
• Helped Canada win team bronze at the 2016 Pacific Rim Championships
• Won pommel horse bronze at the 2018 World Challenge Cup in Mersin, Turkey
• Represented Ontario at the 2011 and 2015 Canada Winter Games
• Won five medals (four gold, one bronze) at the 2015 Canada Games after a team bronze in 2011

Getting into the Sport: Started in gymnastics at age 6… Almost quit when he was 8 but his coach convinced him to stick with it and he began competing… Outside Interests: Enjoys watching movies and watching and playing soccer in his time off… Majoring in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota… Odds and Ends: Gets a haircut the day before competing… Collects pins and posters from competitions… Favourite motto: Hard work pays off, eventually… Inspired by Max Whitlock, five-time Olympic medallist for Team GB, for the way he uses his unique strengths in his routines…
