Liliane Gagnon

Biography

Liliane Gagnon is set to make her Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026 after having been part of Team Canada at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games. 

Gagnon is a three-time medallist at the FIS U23 World Championships. In her third straight appearance at the U23 Worlds in 2025, she won bronze in both the women’s 10km free and women’s 20km mass start classic. The year before, she had won gold in the mixed 4x5km relay alongside Derek Deuling, Jasmine Drolet, and Max Hollmann. Gagnon had competed at three straight FIS Junior World Championships from 2020 to 2022. 

Gagnon made her debut at the senior FIS World Championships in 2023. At the 2025 Worlds, she and Alison Mackie skied to a top 10 finish in the women’s team sprint classic. She was also part of Canada’s back-to-back top 10 finishes in the women’s relay. 

Gagnon debuted on the FIS World Cup circuit in December 2022. She finished the 2024-25 season as the second-ranked woman in the U23 World Cup standings. That season included her career best World Cup result, a fifth-place finish in the team sprint with Sonjaa Schmidt in Davos, Switzerland. Gagnon achieved her career best individual result on the World Cup circuit in January 2024 when she finished ninth in the 20km mass start free in Goms, Switzerland.
