Biography

• Finished in the top-10 at the Pan American Championships each year since 2017
• Made his world championship debut in 2017
• As a freestyle wrestler, won team gold at the 2008 North American Indigenous Games
• Switched to Greco-Roman wrestling in 2014 and began training with five-time Olympian Doug Yeats
• Four-time Canadian champion, winning at 85kg in 2015 and at 98kg from 2017 to 2019

Getting into the Sport: Started wrestling at age 14 at Ithaca High School in upstate New York… Outside Interests: Graduated from American University in Washington, DC in 2013… Returned home to Akwesasne, a Mohawk Reservation on the New York-Quebec border, to work as a sports, fitness and recreation coordinator at the Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club… Odds and Ends: Twin brother Phillip is also a member of the Pan Am Games wrestling team… Aims to encourage the dreams of young indigenous athletes as a mentor…
