COC statement regarding the TORONTO 2015 Games legacy

TORONTO (June 27, 2019) – The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) provided the following statements regarding the final outcome of the TORONTO 2015 Games announced by the Honourable David Peterson, Chairman of the TO2015 Organizing Committee:

“Thanks to the tireless efforts of the TO2015 Organizing Committee and the dedication of the thousands of volunteers who participated, TORONTO 2015 left a remarkable legacy not only for our athletes and the city, but for the entire country. The report showing the Games came in significantly under budget while creating lasting infrastructure highlights the importance of a well-executed hosting model and another great example for future Games in Canada.”
