Jenna Blasman

Biography

A former provincial medallist in speed skating, Jenna Blasman turned her focus to snowboard at age 12.

Having had success on the contest circuit, Blasman made her FIS World Cup debut in March 2013. In just her second World Cup start, she finished fifth in Cardrona, New Zealand in August 2013. Earlier in the year she had finished fifth at the FIS World Junior Championships.

Getting into the Sport: Started snowboarding at age 12… Loved bonding over feelings of freedom, support, passion, adrenaline and encouragement with her friends… Odds and Ends: Role models are Spencer O’Brien and Jaime Anderson for making it to the top using different strategies of hard work, dedication or pure passion… Good luck charms are rings from her mother…
