Olympians gear up for Movember

TORONTO – Summer and Winter Olympians are having some fun this month while bringing awareness to an important cause. Movember, which raises funds for prostate cancer research and men’s health will have Olympic caliber moustaches to show off this coming month.

“I’m really excited to do something for a worthy cause,” said two-time Olympic diver Riley McCormick. “This gives us an awesome opportunity to do something for a great and important cause while having a little fun too.”

“It’s great to see people jumping on board and supporting prostate cancer awareness,” said two-time Olympic luger Sam Edney. “I look forward to fans seeing my photos and seeing the progress of fellow moustache growers across the nation.”

Athletes will be sending weekly pictures to the Canadian Olympic Committee to show off the progress of their “mo”. Fans can view the photos on the COC Facebook page www.facebook.com/canadianolympicteam.
