16 awesome moments from Canadians at the X Games
Over the weekend Canadians scored big at the X Games, also know as the most extreme winter sport competition.
After four great days on Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, we’re not ready to let go of an unreal weekend of snowboarding and skiing. So thanks to one of our favourite apps and talented photographers, we’ve collected 16 moments to keep the Canadians X Games experience alive.
For many riders and skiers getting on the course for a test run is the moment when the excitement of the X Games kicks into high gear.
For others it’s the moment right before you drop when the adrenaline really kicks in.
You realize that regardless of who you’re racing you’re ready to come out on top.
You become more determined than you’ve ever been.
You prepare to unleash a killer run, like Max Parrot and Mark McMorris did in the big air to finish 1-2.
Or Kelsey Serwa and Marielle Thompson who also went 1-2, in Skier X.
Or Sébastien Toutant did in men’s slopestyle to finish second.
And if your run is unreal you become a champion – like Spencer O’Brien who won her first X Games gold in slopestyle.
Or McMorris who defended his X Games slopestyle title.
You get to stand in front of your family, friends and fans as you reap your rewards.
Right before you celebrate becoming an X Games champion.
And leave being able to say, you conquered the X Games.
