Chris Clark is a corporate director. He currently sits on the Boards of Air Canada, Loblaw Companies Limited, Hydro One and Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust. Prior to becoming a director, Chris was the chief executive officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Canada from 2005-2011. Chris is a Fellow Professional Chartered Accountant. Through his role as chair of the audit, finance and risk committees at Loblaw and Air Canada, as well as his accounting and finance background, Chris brings a deep knowledge of accounting standards and practices as well as a clear understanding of the Board’s responsibilities. Chris also brings tremendous experience with not-for-profit organizations. Most recently, he was the chair of The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and the chair of the audit and finance and governance committees at Alpine Canada.
Chris was initially elected to the COC’s Board in April, 2016 for a one-year period. Since his election to the Board, Chris has been a member of the working group which was set up to review the organization’s By-Laws and governance practices. He has also provided advice and direction to senior management on the preparation of its strategic plan and its budget for the next quadrennial.
