Performing when it counts is something all students must do. Be it a big test, a game or a recital, they have to prepare with purpose, overcome nervousness, and do their best when it counts. They will read and see how Olympians prepare for the performances of their lives and how they deal with the pressure to perform. Sometimes things go as planned, and other times success comes in different forms.
Students will learn ways to frame a performance to reduce stress and not to fear failure. They will understand that learning from an experience is often as valuable as the actual performance outcome.
Your students will explore the Performance through a story (written at grade 2-3, 4-5, and 6-7 reading levels), a bilingual video, and a series of learning activities that get students thinking about, talking about, and taking actions towards their personal journeys.
