A Conversation with Team Canada’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mike Wilkinson
Hearing Dr. Mike Wilkinson’s medical journey firsthand is inspiring and his expansive expertise gives us all an inside look at the complexities of healthcare during a global pandemic. Dr. Wilkinson is presently the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Canadian Rowing team. He has been to eight Olympic and Pan Am Games as a medical lead, with his most recent Games being Lima 2019 and PyeongChang 2018 as the Canadian CMO. He was the team physician for the Vancouver Canucks from 1999-2016, the team physician for the Canadian and British Columbia Senior Rugby Teams from 1998 – 2007. He was also the Director of Medical Services for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
