COC accepting expressions of interest for Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games press accreditation

TORONTO ( April 8, 2025) — Panam Sports, through the Asunción 2025 Organizing Committee and the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), is now accepting expressions of interest for press accreditation to the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games, taking place from August 9 to 23, 2025 in Paraguay.

All media representatives, including media rights holders, non-media rights holders, print media and photographers wishing to cover the Junior Pan American Games are asked to complete and submit the form here by Thursday, April 24, 2025. Please submit one expression of interest per organization. Late submissions will not be considered.

Accredited media will be contacted in May 2025 to provide the required information for individual registration.

Journalist (E): Journalist, editor, photographic editor, employed or contracted by an international or national news agency, an independent journalist,  podcast, radio, website, digital journalist or freelance journalist under contract.

Photographer (EP): Photographer, meeting the same criteria as those defined by category “E”.

ENRs (non-rights holding broadcasting media): non-rights holding radio and/or television organizations within Canada that may be interested in covering the news aspect for Asunción 2025.

The Asunción 2025 Organizing Committee will be the organization responsible for distributing the E, EP and ENR accreditations, in cooperation with the COC. 

About Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games
The Pan American Games, first held in 1951, led to the creation of the Junior Pan American Games—one of Panam Sports’ most important initiatives—designed to identify and support the next generation of talent and Olympic hopefuls across the Americas. The inaugural edition took place in 2021 in Cali, Colombia, and the second edition is scheduled for August 9 to 23, 2025, in Asunción, Paraguay. Over 4,000 athletes under 23 years old from 41 countries will compete in 28 sports. This edition will offer 216 direct qualification spots for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.
