COC to host important panel discussion around inclusion in sport

TORONTO (June 20, 2019)  – On Friday, June 21, in celebration of Pride 2019 and Team Canada’s ‘Be You’ inclusion and diversity platform, the Canadian Olympic Committee will be hosting a thought-provoking panel discussion around inclusion in sport. Hosted by CBC Sports journalist Devin Heroux, guest contributors will discuss hot topics in sport today.

Following the panel discussion, all guests will be invited to launch Team Canada’s 2019 ‘Be You’ pop-up store, located at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, the Home of Team Canada. A special announcement will also be made in support of You Can Play and Egale Canada, two organizations that have joined forces with Team Canada in helping to create a more inclusive sport environment since 2014.

All media are invited for interview, photo and b-roll opportunities. Please RSVP to Josh Su (jsu@olympic.ca).

Launched in 2018, ‘Be You’, a brand extension of the bold Be Olympic campaign, is Team Canada’s diversity and inclusion platform aimed at empowering athletes to be their authentic selves.
