Mondelēz Canada renewed as Official Biscuits & Confectionery Partner of Team Canada

TORONTO (January 5, 2022) – The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Mondelēz Canada Inc. announced a partnership renewal on Wednesday through to the end of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Since 2013, Mondelēz Canada Inc., the Official Biscuits & Confectionery Partner of Team Canada, has supported athletes’ journeys to achieving their goals of competing at the Olympic Games.

“Mondelēz is one of Team Canada’s longest standing supporters. We are thrilled to extend our partnership with them,” said Jacquie Ryan, COC Chief Brand and Commercial Officer and Canadian Olympic Foundation CEO. “We look forward to building on our shared vision of helping Canadian athletes pursue their dream of representing Canada on the world’s greatest sporting stage.”

The partnership will see Mondelēz leverage its brands, including Oreo, Ritz and Cadbury, in-store through point-of-sale advertising and personalized package and products, featuring Beijing 2022 hopeful Cynthia Appiah, member of Canada’s National Senior Bobsleigh Team.

During the upcoming Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, Mondelēz will continue encouraging consumers and athletes alike to ‘Taste Glory’ across its marketing channels including in-store merchandise. Starting January 10, 2022, Canadians will have a chance to win a grand prize trip to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

“We are proud to partner with the Canadian Olympic Committee and give all Canadians a chance to Taste Glory,” said Martin Parent, President of Mondelēz Canada. “We are pleased to be renewing our support and look forward to cheering on our Team Canada athletes this winter.”
