RBC Training Ground Welcomes 100 Young Athletes from across Canada to Compete at National Final in Toronto

TORONTO (September 9, 2026) – On Saturday, October 3, a group of Team Canada and RBC Olympians will make their way to Toronto to cheer on the Top 100 athletes from across Canada as they compete at the RBC Training Ground National Final.

Now concluding its 11th season, RBC Training Ground is a national talent identification and athlete-funding program dedicated to uncovering and supporting Canada’s future Olympians. This season, more than 3,100 young athletes between the ages of 14 and 25 participated in free RBC Training Ground events held across the country, displaying their skills in front of representatives from 16 National Sport Organizations. At each event, athletes were evaluated across key performance benchmarks — speed, strength, power and endurance — all in pursuit of an opportunity to be identified as a future representative of Team Canada. Since the program’s inception, 28 RBC Training Ground alumni have gone on to compete at four Olympic Games, earning a combined 14 medals.

Up to 35 athletes competing at the National Final will receive RBC Future Olympian designation, where RBC will provide financial support and access to world-class coaching and mentorship designed to fuel their journey toward the Olympic podium in the years to come.
