Rock-It Cargo Signs On as COC Corporate Partner

TORONTO — Rock-It Cargo, the leading provider of specialty freight forwarding and logistics services, has signed on for a nine-year agreement as the official freight forwarder and customs broker of the Canadian Olympic Team (COT). The partnership will carry the COT through to 2024, covering Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022, and the 2024 Olympic Games.The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) looks forward to the leadership Rock-It Cargo will bring in this area of expertise. Sending an entire athlete and mission team to an Olympic Games calls for the execution of complex logistics and Rock-It Cargo will provide the COC with the following services to help:

  • Air, Ocean and Road Freight Services
  • Air Express and Rush Services
  • Air and Ocean Cargo Charters
  • Customs Brokerage
  • Event Load In/Load Out Supervision
  • Event Temporary Warehousing
  • Ocean Container Leasing
  • Ocean Container Grounding and Lifting Services

For Sochi 2014, 145,580 lbs of cargo were sent to Russia, which is the equivalent of:

The COC anticipates sending a similar load to Brazil and will rely on Rock-It Cargo’s expertise to ensure this process is efficient.
