Alexandre Touzel


Alexandre Touzel won a bronze medal with Canada at the 2011 Junior Pan American Championships. He also competed at the 2011 World Junior Championships, where he was second in scoring with 21 goals on 53 shots as Canada finished 22nd. Playing for Champlain 1 in the Circuit Quebecois 1st division, this past season he was the second-leading scorer on his team with 70 goals and converted on 10 penalties.


Family: Parents Raymond Touzel and Francine Palmorino… Older sister Karine, younger sister Sabrina…Getting into the Sport: Started playing handball at age 12… Loves that it combines many skills such as speed, power, momentum, firing strength, as well as the strategy… Outside Interests: Is in his final year at the Université de Montréal for teaching mathematics… Enjoys reading, piano, juggling, working out, tennis… Works as a substitute teacher… Odds and Ends: Favourite motto: “Citius, altius, fortius”… Always travels with his Rubik’s Cube… Brings home cups for his mother’s collection from his travels… Nickname: Touz…
