Evan Van Moerkerke

As a newcomer to the senior national team, Evan Van Moerkerke was named to the Pan Am Games and FINA World Championships squads after his fourth place finish in the 100m freestyle at the 2015 Canadian Trials. He won Pan Am silver with the 4x100m freestyle relay and then anchored that relay in the world championship final. Van Moerkerke previously represented Canada at the 2011 FINA World Junior Championships where he finished 33rd in the 50m freestyle. He also swam in the preliminary heat of the 4x100m freestyle relay for a team that went on to win silver.
