Frederic Winters
Biography
With more than 250 caps, Frederic Winters was the most experienced member of the Canadian team that competed at the 2014 FIVB World Championship and finished a best-ever seventh. It was his third appearance at the global quadrennial event. Winters was also on the teams that finished seventh at the 2015 FIVB World Cup and won bronze at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto. In 2016 he helped Canada win the FIVB World League Group 2 which earned the team a spot in the elite Group 1 in 2017. The captain of the men’s national team has played professionally in Austria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Russia, China, and Brazil.
