Isabella Holmgren
Biography
In 2023, Isabella Holmgren became a junior world champion in two different cycling disciplines. In February, she finished first in the junior women’s race at the 2023 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships, placing one spot ahead of twin sister Ava as they won gold and silver, respectively. In August, Holmgren won gold in the junior women’s cross-country mountain bike race at the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.
In the fall of 2023, Holmgren won gold in the elite women’s cyclo-cross race at the Pan American Championships. The following February, she finished fourth in the U23 women’s race at the 2024 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships.
In May 2024, Holmgren made her UCI Mountain Bike World Cup debut. She won her very first race, taking the victory in the women’s U23 cross-country race in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czechia.
