Keaton Bruggeling
Biography
Keaton Bruggeling is set to make his Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026.
Bruggeling competed in his first IBSF World Championships in 2025 where he was part of an eighth-place finish in four-man behind pilot Taylor Austin.
Bruggeling made his IBSF World Cup debut in January 2025. As of January 2026, he has a top result of sixth place, both achieved in four-man (with Pat Norton in January 2025 in Innsbruck and with Taylor Austin in January 2026 in Altenberg).
Bruggeling began competing internationally in North American Cup races at the end of the 2022-23 season. He split the 2023-24 season between the North American Cup and another developmental circuit, the Europe Cup.
Though the pipeline from football to bobsleigh is nothing new, Bruggeling is among the few to do both sports at the same time. A wide receiver, he was selected in the third round, 22nd overall, by the Ottawa Redblacks in the CFL Draft in 2022. He spent three seasons in Ottawa before joining Hamilton in 2025. He played collegiately for Carleton University in the OUA.
