Biography

Please note: the information below is accurate as of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Midfielder Kelly Parker made her Olympic Games debut for Canada in London and was a member of the bronze medal winning women’s team.

After recovering from an injury that kept her out for much of the early part of the 2011 season, Parker played in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup against Germany,  and then went on to win a gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in Mexico.  She was also a member of the team that played the 2012 Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament in Vancouver.

Parker played for the WPS Atlanta Beat and considered playing in Europe before the 2012 Olympic Games, but opted instead to stay with the national team residency camp. A collegiate star at the University of Texas at El Paso, Parker earned all-conference honours twice and set a school record for most points (84) and assists (30).
