Naomi Urness

Biography

Naomi Urness is set to make her Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026.

Urness came to international attention when she reached the podium in three straight FIS World Cup ski big air events in November and December 2025. Those were the first World Cup big air events she had ever entered. She finished second in Secret Garden, third in Beijing, and then claimed her first World Cup victory in Steamboat, Colorado.

Urness had only entered her first career World Cup event in February 2025 when she competed in slopestyle at the home stop in Stoneham, Quebec. She then joined the circuit full time for the 2025-26 season.

In her debut at the Winter X Games in 2026, she won slopestyle silver and finished fourth in big air.

Urness finished second in the Nor-Am Cup slopestyle/big air standings in 2022-23 and 2024-25. She has 12 career podiums on that circuit, including two slopestyle victories.

Urness competed at the 2022 FIS Junior World Championships where she finished fourth in big air and sixth in slopestyle.

She won slopestyle silver and finished fifth in big air at the 2023 Canada Winter Games.
