Foundation launches 'It Takes A Nation' Facebook application
The time has come to put your GAME FACE ON and dream big, for our athletes’ accomplishments reflect the support of our nation.
To show our athletes our tremendous appreciation for all of their hard work and to let them know that we believe in them, the Canadian Olympic Foundation in collaboration with the Canadian Olympic Committee is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Facebook application: It Takes A Nation.
This fun interactive tool lets anyone produce his or her best virtual Game Face by ‘painting’ the Canadian flag onto one of their profile images. As more and more people put their ‘Game Face’ on, we’ll see a wave of patriotism spread across the country.
Simply by choosing a personal head shot, selecting a place of residence and a favourite winter Olympic sport, Canadians are actively supporting the 2010 Team. Not only are Canadians able to wear their pride on their face, they can also choose to participate in a competition to become the face of Canada in the Foundation’s ad campaign, featured on TSN/RDS during the Games.
Join in on the hype everyone is talking about and become a part of the excitement. Step up, Canada! Show your Canadian Olympic Team that you support their dreams and will be cheering them on as they shoot for gold in Vancouver.
