With six medals at Guadalajara 2011, Squash Canada hopes to bolster its Pan Am podium count this summer at Toronto 2015, naming six players on Friday.

The lone Pan Am gold medallist in the squad is Samantha Cornett, who – along with Miranda Ranieri and Stephanie Edmison – won the women’s team title four years ago. Ranieri and Edmison will not return for TO2015, Cornett will team up with Hollie Naughton and Nikole Todd to defend the Canadian women’s team crown. Cornett also won a women’s singles silver in Guadalajara.

On the men’s side Shawn Delierre will be out to improve on his Pan Am individual bronze in the last go. Another returning player is Andrew Schnell, who was part of a men’s team silver with Delierre and Shahier Razik. In the 2015 Pan Am edition Graeme Schnell (older brother of Andrew) will take Razik’s place.

Other top nations in Pan Am squash are Mexico, Colombia and United States. The fast paced competition will take place at Exhibition Centre from July 11 to 17.
