Barbara Jardin had two top-10 finishes in her Olympic Games debut in 2012. Competing in the 200m freestyle event, Jardin finished in 10th place. She also finished just off the podium in fourth place in the 4x200m freestyle with teammates Amanda Reason, Samantha Cheverton and Brittany MacLean.
During the 2011 season, Jardin swam in both the 200m and 400m freestyle during the World Championships in Shanghai.
