Canadian golfer Brooke Henderson finished just behind winner Ha Na Jang of South Korea at the Coates Golf Championship in Ocala, Florida on Saturday.

Players struggled with the elements last couple of days. Cold and rainy conditions caused stoppages, leading to golfers playing longer days to complete the final rounds, including Henderson on Saturday. It caught up to her causing a few errors in the back nine.
“You know, 27 holes for me today, but I was lucky yesterday, I only had to play 21 where some people had to play 27, as well,” Henderson said.
“A couple early mornings, lots of rain, cold, wind, we kind of had it all, but overall it was a great championship,” the Canadian concluded, saying she already looked forward to returning to Ocala next season.
The year opened in the Bahamas at the end of January, where Henderson ended tied for 21st, nine shots behind the winner, Hyo-Joo Kim of South Korea.
The tour moves to Australia next, with Henderson projected to jump into 11th place from 17th in Women’s World Golf Rankings. She is currently fourth on the tour’s money list.
Golf returns to the Olympic Games this summer at Rio 2016, where the world’s top players will eye history at the first women’s competition.
