Natalie Wideman was a key player for the junior women’s national team at the 2011 WBSC Junior Women’s Softball World Championships before making the jump to the senior team in 2012 when she helped Canada to a fourth-place finish at the WBSC World Championship.

Sara Groenewegen plays high level softball while managing her Type 1 diabetes, something she has dealt with since age nine. In her first tournament with Team Canada, Groenewegen threw a no-hitter against China at the 2013 WBSC Junior World Championships.

Larissa Franklin’s first action with the national team was at the WBSC Junior Women’s World Championship in 2011 where the team finished fifth. She joined the senior team in 2013, competing in the World Cup of Softball and the WBSC Americas Qualifier where Canada won a silver medal.

After first representing Canada at the 2007 WBSC Junior Women’s Softball World Championship, Jenna Caira joined the Senior National Team in 2009.
