COC accepting expressions of interest for Paris 2024 press accreditation until September 16

TORONTO (September 7, 2022) — The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) will continue to accept expressions of interest for press accreditation to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 until Friday, September 16, 2022.

Canadian media are asked to complete and submit the form at olympic.ca/press-accreditation. Please submit one expression of interest form per organization.

Late submissions will not be considered.

Due to the limited quota of accreditations allocated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), selection criteria will be applied. The COC will consider an organization’s national scope in coverage, readership and circulation, previous history in attending and covering an Olympic Games and geographical representation.

Media that have been granted press accreditation will be contacted in October 2022.

Journalist (E): Journalist, editor, photographic editor, employed or contracted by an international or national news agency, a general daily newspaper, a sports newspaper, magazine or internet site, a digital journalist, or freelance journalist under contract.

Photographer (EP): Photographer, meeting the same criteria as those defined by category “E”.

Procedure for ENRs (non-rights holding broadcasting media)

For any non-rights holding radio and/or television organizations within Canada that may be interested in covering the news aspect for Paris 2024, the electronic ENR accreditation application form will be available on January 26, 2023 at http://www.olympics.com/ioc/accred2024.

The IOC will be the responsible organization for distributing the ENR accreditations, in co-operation with the COC. The deadline for applications is March 8, 2023.

The ENR organizations will have full responsibility to apply directly to the IOC for accreditation within the required timelines and late requests will not be considered. Further questions can be directed to media.operations@olympic.org.

Please note that it is strictly prohibited for the Canadian Olympic Committee to grant a member of an ENR organization any other type of press accreditation (E or EP).
