COC announces location of Canada Olympic House for Paris 2024

MONTREAL (November  30, 2023) – Today, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) announced that Canada Olympic House (COH) at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be housed in La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Parc de la Villette.

“I am proud that once again, Canada Olympic House will serve as a vibrant and welcoming space for Team Canada,” said Jacqueline Ryan, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the COC and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation. “I am confident that this will be a truly spectacular hospitality experience as we greet the world in Paris this summer.”

La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is a popular cultural institution in France. It is located in Parc de la Villette, the largest landscaped park in Paris. Parc de la Villette will serve as the “Park of Nations” during the Games and will welcome other National Olympic Committee hospitality spaces, including Club France.

“La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is an incredible venue, and we are thrilled to be situated in the iconic Parc de la Villette alongside many other National Olympic Committees,” said David Shoemaker, COC Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General. “Bringing Team Canada athletes, supporters, and fans together is part of what makes the Olympic Games so special. I know Canada Olympic House will be home to some unforgettable moments. I can’t wait to open our doors to the world.”

Canada Olympic House will feature Team Canada competition viewing opportunities, events and athlete appearances, Team Canada marketing partner integration, curated food and beverage, and live performances. Many more exciting programming announcements are still to come. It will also be a French and English broadcast location for CBC/Radio-Canada. Paris 2024 marks the first time ever Canada’s Olympic Network will be hosting portions of live Olympic Games coverage from COH.

COH is being designed and produced with the help of marketing agency Mosaic North America, which has offices in both Montreal and Toronto.

“We are honoured and delighted to host Canada at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games,” said Bruno Maquart, Universcience Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie – Palais de la découverte), European network of science centers and museums (Ecsite) President. “The presence of Canada Olympic House on our premises will echo our vibrant summer programme. Canada Olympic House and the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie will inspire visitors by celebrating the common values of sport and science.”
