TEAM CANADA DAY 7 MOMENTS:
CURLING
- Canada’s perfect 8-0 record against the U.S. in women’s Olympic curling ended as they were edged by the Americans 9-8. They will continue round robin play on Day 8 (February 14) against Great Britain and Switzerland.
- Canada’s men’s curling team extended its win streak to 3-0 with wins today against the U.S. and Sweden. Next up, they will face Team Switzerland on Day 8.
FIGURE SKATING
- Stephen Gogolev (Toronto, Ont.) delivered a performance in the free skate that saw him place 5th in men’s singles.
- That is the best Olympic result in the event by a Canadian since Patrick Chan’s silver medal at Sochi 2014.
HOCKEY
- Following their win over Czechia the night prior, Canada’s men’s hockey team downed Switzerland 5-1.
- They will wrap up their preliminary round play against France on Day 9 (February 15).
